Christmas Presents

Dr. Pepper

Dearest Readers, (aka Husband and Mom)

Sorry to keep you in the dark this month.  I know you have longed to see my crappy Dr. Pepper watercolors.

Alan Alda is so smart.  This book really made sitting in the doctor's waiting room fun Monday.  You can borrow it if you want.

That's all I have to say?  Yeah, pretty much.

Pillow Pet

I heard V chanting about Pillow Pets when Dave was putting her to bed.  (Ultimately she got back up and helped me color this picture.)

Now she is fast asleep with her Pillow Pet, Charlie, and I am so excited to wrap gifts!  My 'Love, Actually' DVD is skipping, so put on 'Lord of the Rings', I got wrapping to do!

I'm trying to make a blog post but my roommates keep getting sick and expecting me to take care of them! What up with that.

Tuesday Morning-Chuck E. Cheese

Yes, tonight I made a silly cartoon about my morning. We've already established I'm not a cool person right? Okay.

Band Aid

It's a rainy day and I'm off work sick with a cold.  In other words,

Ripping off a Band Aid.
(Just messing around with my sophisticated software, MS Paint.)

Speaking of moms, my mom's the best!  I will miss working with you today Mom.  Uhhh...silly drawings are the only thing that helps my sinuses? (cough cough) I love you.

A big bookworm

I got a new notebook.  It's like a fake Moleskin sketchbook.

Pet Store Visit

V's teacher and my sister have told me a lot about No Limit Exotic Pets, so we checked it out today.  I can't seem to find a website for them,  but here's a link to them on the news. It really was like a free zoo!

 Adorable chinchilla.

Cobra Pillow

Last night I wrote "Dorkin' it up big time" on the top of this blog.  I must be true to my word, so today I present my cobra pillow.

Step 1: Lovingly embroider a snake.

Step 2: Lovingly coerce your mom to sew it into a pillow for you, and then iron it for you.  That's her hands there. She helped me sew it. I always need help even though I've taken sewing classes! But I might be getting the hang of it after today.

Step 3: Ask Dave what 'coerce' means (to be sure.)

Step 4: Take yet another picture of it for your vanity blog!

Step 5: Put your poly-fiberfill into the pillow!  Sew it up, love it, and tell your sister "No, it is not Cobra Kai from Karate Kid."  (I had no idea she liked Cobra Kai so much.  Also, they should spell it Kobra Kai!!)

This pillow is going on V's bed.  She likes cobras.

Goodnight friends and family.  Thank you very much for looking at my blog! I can't believe people look at it!!!

Cootie Catchers

Are they called Cootie Catchers or Fortune Tellers?

I had completely forgotten how to make these! I had to check out these instructions.

I started the sun for a mural in V's room in the spring.  Oh, is it November already?

My plan included a helpful reminder of the desired paint location.
The Wall.

Paint samples I bought online.
If I had them mix a rainbow of paint samples at the Home Depot wouldn't they hate me?

 V painting sky.

V rocking out while we paint. "I LOVE TOM PETTY!"

So now V wants to paint 'boy lions' beneath the rainbow.  I'll let you know how that goes.

By the way, my aunt Pat is a real muralist in Washington.  Look at her go--she's amazing!

My Little Pony and dino

I did these while we were watching a Zach Galifianakis special tonight.
